What We Shoot


 

Here at 1066 Archery, we  shoot Target Archery, with a mixture of Longbow, Recurve and Compound Archers. Shooting distances range from 100 yards down to 10 yards.

We actively encourage our members to shoot for their classification badges , setting up ranges for the New National (100 & 80 yards), National ( 60 & 50 yards) and shorter distances for the less advanced and for juniors.
 
There is always a friendly and helpful instructor available to advise on shooting problems, from bad form to checking equipment in case of damage that can severely affect arrow flight.
 


 
We welcome juniors to the club and we aim to give them a good grounding in the basics of good form and of course to ensure that they have fun. Our instructors are fully qualified safety officers and have all the relevant police checks and child protection certificates for supervising children.
