About The Club

The 1066 Archery Club was formerly known as The Hawkhurst Hundred Archery Club, which was formed in 1985 and since then the club progressed with a number of members gaining county records, some of which still stand.

Craigan Hyde-Barnett took over the chair in 1993, 2 years after joining the club with his wife Ann. Craigan is a qualified coach and Ann is a qualified leader.

The club has gone through various traumas in recent years, the loss of some of our most experienced archers, the loss of our original grounds at Hall House. Since then we have had a number of grounds and are now settled in Northiam in East Sussex. Changing from Kent to Sussex has prompted the change of name to 1066 Archery Club.

We are always seeking new members and there will be a warm welcome to both experienced and novice archers at our regular Saturday morning shoot.
