1066 Archery Club was formerly known as the Hawkhurst Hundred Archery Club, which was founded in 1985. The name was changed in 2002 to the 1066 Archery Club.
Our club grounds are based at the Pickhill Business Centre on the edge of Tenterden in Kent.
Archery is one of the safest sports in the UK - we run beginner courses (see the DIARY DATES page for the next course) this is a requirement of Archery GB and is based on their guidance.
Members pay an annual fee (Adults £100 - Juniors £50) this includes membership to Archery GB, Kent Archery Association (KAA) and Sussex Counties Archery Society (SCAS).
If you are already an existing member of Archery GB the annual fees are Adults £50, Juniors £25.
We have level access to the field and indoor range from the car park.
We have a well equipped workshop available to all on club days.
We shoot various bowstyles which include longbow, barebow, recurve and compound.
The field is set up for 100 yards, 80 yards, 60 yards, 50 yards, 40 yards, 30 yards and 20 yards. The indoor range is set for 30 metres, 25 metres, 18 metres and 20 yards.
We have three coachs, two at level 1 and one at level 2 - two of whom are qualified to train disabled and vision impaired archers. All three coachs hold a enhanced disclosure CRB checks and certificates of attendance to Safe Guarding and Protection of Children.

Visiting Archers who are on holiday in our area would be welcome to shot, the cost would be £5 adults and £2 Juniors providing they have Archery GB or similar membership.

1066 Archery are pleased to have been invited to Biddenden Tractor Fest from the 20th to 21st August 2016, where we will be running a “Have-a-Go” stand to test your Archery Skills.
